Payal is an accomplished Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, having been admitted to the Bar in April 2016. Throughout her career, she has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial disputes, white collar litigation, employment disputes and recovered millions of shillings owed to various clients. She is a seasoned litigator and prides herself in concluding matters that have found their way into the litigation world. Payal is an avid member of the dispute resolution team of the firm and is known for being disciplined and thorough with her work and diligent at meeting deadlines. Her attention to detail, especially in white collar matters has earned her a top badge from her clients. Payal has been at the firm since January 2015 and was appointed Partner in January 2021.

  1. Successfully obtaining Judgment in favour of Emfil Limited, with respect to affirmation of its titles and eviction of squatters on vast acres of land in Kwale.
  2. Successfully dismissing cases against a number of Companies in the Employment and Labour Relations Court.
  3. Successfully dismissing a case against three Companies with regard to Intellectual Property Rights in the Industrial Property Tribunal
  4. Successfully obtaining an Order of Certiorari against the Director of Immigration Services in relation to an Application for renewal of a work permit of a foreign national, through a Judicial Review Application filed in the High Court – Constitutional and Human Rights Division.
  5. Successfully obtaining Judgment for Clients in debt recovery claims.
  6. Successfully obtaining Orders appointing Receiver Managers and Estate Agents over two Companies whose management and assets needed urgent protection.
  7. Successfully obtaining work permits and special passes for various Clients.
  8. Successfully advising and representing an Insurance Company in connection with an Application to strike off an insolvency petition filed by one of its Clients.
  9. Representing a significant number of Clients in criminal and anti-corruption cases.
  10. Successfully obtaining Grants of Probate for Administrators of Estates of deceased persons.
