Linda Watiri Muriuki is a Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public, Certified Public Secretary (Kenya) and a Professional Director.

Linda serves as the Managing Partner at LJA Associates LLP; she is a practising Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over Thirty years’ experience ranked by Chambers and Partners in 2015 and 2016.

She served as a Non- Executive Director of; Old Mutual Life Assurance Company Limited from 2004 to 2010, the Capital Markets Authority from 2015 to 2017, East Africa Reinsurance Company Limited from November 2012 to August 2022 and Safaricom PLC from March 2017 to February 2023. She currently serves as Non- Executive Director of First Chartered Securities Limited.

She holds a B.A. Economics degree from York University, Canada an LLB (Honours) from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and a Master’s Degree as a Graduate of the Global Executive Masters of Business Administration from United States International University in collaboration with Columbia University New York, U.S.A.

  1. Acted on behalf of an Insurance Company in the sale of property in Nairobi at the price of over USD $ Seventeen Million.
  2. Acted on behalf of various Property Developers in structuring of projects for the construction of town houses and undertaking the following roles: drafting leases in line with our Land Laws and regulations, obtaining or assisting in obtaining the requisite consents/approvals for the projects and pursuing the registration formalities of the sub-leases.
  3. Acted and advised in the sale of Tourist Hotel Properties located in Nairobi CBD, Samburu District Kenya, and at Diani Beach Front Property total value in excess of US$ Fifty Million.
  4. Acted and advised in the incorporation and structuring of International Risk Management Consultancy Company “operating in complex environments offering support to governments co-operators and private clients”.
  5. Lead legal advisor for National Housing Corporation (NHC) in its development of 230 residential apartments, Langata Court Phase Two (A). Tasked in advising NHC in structuring of the project, drafting and reviewing of the transaction documents to ensure compliance with our Land Laws and pursuing registration formalities of the subleases.
  6. Acted on behalf of an International Group to advise on the conclusion of an “Offtake Agreement” with Government of Kenya under a Public Private Partnership deploying International Group Innovative Technology for exploration of water with a view to mining water and the distribution of potable water on the National Water Supply Network similar to a Project successfully implemented in Ghana.
  7. Acted as part of the Kenyan legal local counsel advisors in the Public Private Partnership Project on the operation and maintenance of Nairobi Nakuru Highway. Undertook a comprehensive legal due diligence for the Project and advised on the feasibility of a Public Private Partnership Project model, regulatory review of our Public Private Partnership Project laws and regulations and advised on appropriate institutional arrangements.
  8. Acted on behalf of Consortia between a global non profit in the funding construction and implementation of Innovative Eco Pay per use Toilets with local Kenyan participation within the City of Nairobi.
  9. Acted in the successful restructuring of corporate land holding for International School in Langata valued at US$ Ten Million.
  10. Acted on behalf of Children’s Hospital in the reconstruction of lost and missing Trust documentation with a successful outcome.
  11. Religious Order – transactions. Acted on behalf of various Religious Orders in the acquisition of property and the formation of Registered Trusts.
