Aaron James Kinyanjui graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2017. In 2018, he successfully completed the Advocates Training Programme in his first sitting.

He started out as a Pupil at LJA Associates LLP in 2019. He proceeded to complete his Pupilage at the Firm and commenced his Holding Over until his admission to the Bar in 2020.

He is currently an Associate at the Firm and is an active member in the Dispute Resolution department.

Under the close mentorship of the Partners, he has grown both in knowledge and confidence to become a respectable and vital member of the team. He also guides and mentors Junior Associates and Legal Trainee.

During his time at the Firm he has developed and enhanced his communication skills, which has enabled him to manage Clients on his own, with overall oversight from the Partners.

Outside of the law, he is currently pursuing a Diploma in Business Information Technology at Strathmore University and is set to graduate in 2023. Aaron enjoys playing chess, reading and is a football enthusiast.

  1. Advising and representing our client in an anti-corruption matter where the client has been charged with, the illegal procurement and payment of faulty transformers.
  2. Watching Brief for a number of Clients in Criminal matters and assisting the prosecution, where necessary.
  3. Advising and representing clients engaged in the Bakery and Bread Production field, on the relevant KEBS Standards in place vis a vis packaging after a complaint was raised by the Competition Authority. This matter was amicably settled.
  4. Representing Mayfair Insurance Company in an appeal from the Insurance Appeals Tribunals where the value if the subject matter is KES 1.8 Million.
  5. Advising and defending companies on a variety of employment issued.
  6. Currently defending a Client in the Employment Court on account of alleged unfair termination, where the Claimant is seeking KES 3.2+ Million.
  7. Representing Kenindia Assurance Company in various claims made under the Work Insurance Benefits Act.
  8. Successfully had charges withdrawn in a Public Health matter where our Clients were arrested for allegedly operating without valid medical certificates.
  9. Successfully presenting and opposing Bill of Costs for a number of Clients including, Thola Glass Enterprises Limited, Zakhem International Construction Limited, KAM Pharmacy and Navitas Limited.
  10. Petitioning the High Court for insolvency for our Client, on account of the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism sector in the Country.
